[JBoss JIRA] (JBIDE-18900) CordovaSim: Can't run default FeedHenry app locally
by Max Rydahl Andersen (JIRA)
Max Rydahl Andersen commented on JBIDE-18900:
---------------------------------------------
[~gercan] eclipse would most likely not have access to the environment variables since its most often started from the system/desktop process not from the terminal where you have configured your feedhenry environment.
the idea about looking for default_local_server_url in gruntfile.js sounds like a more stable approach if that file is going to be there.

> Basically, the situation is the following:
> 1. *ToolsProject-Cordova-App.zip* - is a basic FH hybrid app (all the app does is saying Hello + 'username' from the input field )
> 2. To run this app one simply needs to unpack the archive and import it as a cordova project to the studio
> 3. The application will work with a *remote* server like a charm !hello_tom.png|thumbnail!
> 4. However, there is an option to use *local* server instead of *remote* one
> 5. *ToolsProject-Cloud-App.zip* - is a app for running local server via grunt task runner
> 6. In order to run local server one needs:
> - unpack the app
> - run *npm install .*
> - run *grunt serve*
> Need to find the way to made CordovaSim use this *local* server

[JBoss JIRA] (JBIDE-18921) release webtools site for Eclipse 4.3 Mars to so WTP 3.7 discovery upstream can find it
by Nick Boldt (JIRA)
Nick Boldt commented on JBIDE-18921:
------------------------------------
{quote}Why not just follow same pattern as last year.{quote}
Because, JBDS-3208. We are intentionally changing these patterns. That's why this JIRA is linked to that one, and why I keep asking for final +1s on that JIRA, so I can proceed w/ moving stuff around for Mars.
Do you mean that I should go fix https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=434185 ? That still wouldn't solve the problem of having no server adapters in Mars M4. Do we want a server adapter in Mars M4? Or do we want an empty site there, so no one can use our stuff until after we drop an Alpha, which could be after M5? Seems to me putting Alpha content (which is 99.99% the same as what's in the 4.2.x stream right now) is better than having NO server adapter, but YMMV. He who shouts the loudest will win this contest.
Max, Rob: gentlemen, startle your difference engines.

> Need a semi-working placeholder (even if it's a weak first alpha or copy of JBT 4.2.0's site) so that WTP can resolve a valid site for server adapters.
