Mickael Istria resolved JBIDE-16355.

Resolution: Done
I've put a file redirecting to the Jira release notes instead: https://github.com/jbdevstudio/jbdevstudio-devdoc/blob/master/release_gui...

> (2014-01-14 13:55:54) nickboldt: desire to produce the file is clearly no longer urgent, so I could open a JIRA asking to trash it from the rel guide requirement for JBT 4.2 and see who disagrees
> (2014-01-14 13:56:04) maxandersen: yeah - and I keep saying: please dont use mixed camelcases but they keep occuring ;)
> (2014-01-14 13:56:25) maxandersen: yeah I would just post a jira query IMO for these.
> (2014-01-14 13:56:56) maxandersen: dont use mixed camelcases for artifacts urls I mean.
> (2014-01-14 13:57:58) maxandersen: interesting - *1* hit on google for jbide zz_release_notes ;)
> (2014-01-14 13:58:34) maxandersen: so yeah, jira query ftw for this.
> {quote}
> Instead of producing a snapshot from JIRA as a canned HTML page, we should for JBT 4.2 / JBDS 8 simply link to a query.
> That way too we can have a query for "just this milestone" and "all changes in the 4.2.x stream (alpha1, alpha2, beta1, cr1, final).
> We can also produce a query for both JBT and JBDS.

> Environment: Fedora 20. Fully updated. Sun JDK 1.7.0_51
> Reporter: Boleslaw Dawidowicz
> Assignee: Konstantin Marmalyukov
> Fix For: 4.2.0.Beta1
>
>
> Basically following burr's video:
> - Install JBoss Tools
> - Install Cordova/Hybrid stuff
> - Create simple hybrid app
> - "Run as CordovaSim"
> - CordovaSim doesn't show up. There is blank window visible for a second.
> Some additional hints:
> - Same behaviour on JBDS 7.1 with Cordova and Google Android plugings
> - BrowserSim seems to run fine - just opening it by clicking the button on the toolbar.
> - Cordova app works fine when deployed to actual android device or android emulator.

Nice work, it looks great!
There is just a small bug in top menu - some links are not highlighted at all (click on the Community or Get Involved) or another item is highlighted (click on the Features and Docs will be highlighted, also Blog -> Community).

> jboss.org/tools have started to have issues scaling on several fronts.
> 1) no clear path to what we want users to download (too many upfront choices)
> 2) we are missing info about what jbosstools actually does
> 3) updating it requires using magnolia (limited access, no option for easy review or experimenting without pushing fully live)
> 4) the content is generally getting very stale
> 5) it is not easy to blog via community.jboss.org - resulting in less content (#4)
> etc. etc.
> 6) update for releases are a lot of copy/paste and manual updating. if we want to reorg that content it is alot of manual labor.
> We are looking into using awestruct as a way to solve a lot of the technical/practical issues. Other projects like wildfly.org, arquillian.org, aerogear.org, infinispan.org have used that and its improved their publishing process and the content.
> https://github.com/xcoulon/jbosstools-website has a current experimental push of the progress.

> It has come to our attention in the past that users, relatively new to Eclipse overall struggle with basic team dev concepts such as
> - how to integrate with CVS, SVN, Git
> - how to "import" a Maven-based project from SCM
> "Check out Maven Projects from SCM" has misfired for some users
> - how to "checkin" changes back to the SCM
> To some degree the problem is simply that Eclipse offers way too many menu-items that see to do approximately the same things.
> For example, if "Check out Maven Projects from SCM" is supposed to work then we likely need to document how it works with CVS, SVN and Git specifically.
