> On JBDSIS Supported configurations page [1], there is no mention of the products and the versions compatible. We should add which JBDSIS products are supported against which version of the tooling. i.e. JBDSIS 7.0.x only works with Fuse 6.1 and earlier.
> We need a full list from JBDSIS team of tested and supported products.

> AFAIK JBDS 9 did work with Java 9 before, just with a warning. So I guess the version is not properly recognized.

[JBoss JIRA] (TOOLSDOC-696) Support for the CDK in JBDS 9.1.beta1 should be more prominent in the release notes

Misha Ali commented on TOOLSDOC-696:

Will there be something usable for CDK in Beta 2? If so, we can just highlight this in the Beta 2 release notes instead. I'm happy to add a screenshot if it's something we want to highlight.

> Title: New Features
> Describe the issue:
> The text describing the new support fo rthe CDK in JBDS 9.1 is correct in the draft release notes:
> '...Integration with Red Hat Container Development Kit: A new server adapter has been added to help start and stop the Red Hat Container Development Kit (CDK), a set of tools meant to quickly set up an OpenShift instance inside a Docker container running inside a virtual machine. While the server adapter itself has limited functionality, it is able to start and stop the CDK virtual machine via its Vagrantfile. Once started, Docker and OpenShift connections should appear in their respective views, allowing the user to quickly create a new OpenShift application and begin developing their AwesomeApp in a highly-replicatable environment...'
> But - I'd suggest that this moved to a more prominent location in the release notes as it is a major reason for the creation of the beta1 release.
> Can we also add a screenshot?
> Suggestions for improvement:

[JBoss JIRA] (JBDS-3557) JBDS Installer should be EPL licensed
by Denis Golovin (JIRA)
Denis Golovin commented on JBDS-3557:
-------------------------------------
[~maxandersen] To make installer EPL we now need to replace license to EPL throughout jbdevstudio-product/installer, Is that correct?
What should we do with sources copied from IzPack like this one https://github.com/dgolovin/jbdevstudio-product/blob/master/installer/src...
Also installer itself just a jar without any license information in any form. Should we fix that as well?
We always can switch to low level implementation and just run p2Director with bundled or remote jbds p2repository right from Developer Platform Installer, which means no need to re-license jbds installer.

> For the Developer Platform to be able to bundle JBDS, it needs to be licensed as ASLv2 or EPL and not GPL
