[JBoss JIRA] (JBDS-3696) Browse buttons should not respond when a file dialog is opened
by Jan Richter (JIRA)
Jan Richter updated JBDS-3696:
------------------------------
Description: Clicking the 'Browse' buttons on confirm page opens a native file dialog. Once open, the user can just navigate back to the main window and keep clicking those buttons. What happens is - for every click a new dialog is queued up. Once the current one closes next one in the queue will open. We should not allow this kind of chaining - it is fairly annoying. > When I create a new OS3 application and then I want to create a new server adapter, an image for this application has to be built and pushed to OpenShift's local image registry. If build is still running, what is often happening on internal OSE instance (it takes minutes - pushing of images), then there is an error message that loading of image failed. User without solid overview of OS3 background would not be able to figure out why it is happening, because even Image stream is shown, but the image is not there yet.

When I've deleted .forge directory the problem is gone. But we should prevent this happing. What Fred is proposing looks good.

> So if the user selects an existing JBDS installation from their Program Files folder and lets us install JDK, the installation will fail when the installer tries to change jbdevstudio.ini to point to the JDK we installed.
> The problem once again is in windows magic, it does not allow to modify files in a protected folder without administrative rights.

looks like @xavier Coulon cannot proceed in the wizard, this seems blocking.
I'm on it.
