I am working with openshift-dev user, where is visible default project (still, until patch in upstream get effect) and my own project with application created from eap 6.4 basic s2i template.

I do agree. From the first glance it does not break anything in VPE, but, as you have mentioned, it does not look right to return subpart from this method.

Looking for an adapter is a good idea and proposed patch was merged upstream into Eclipse master (Oxygen, June 2017), I'll try to have it part of 4.6.1 (September 2016).
I believe the semantics of "getSelectedPage()" makes that the editor shouldn't return the included sourceEditor as part of this method. The page is defined as the whole content of the tab, not as a subpart of it. Changing the implementation and assuming a different definition for "page" may cause other issues.

I noticed there are BPMN2 plugins in two versions. For example:

[~bbrodt] Is that correct? IMHO all plugins of a single component should be in the same version.
