Verified in JBDS 8.0.0.Beta2a B121 using a custom stacks.yaml to download
https://repository.apache.org/content/groups/public/org/apache/karaf/apac...
. Obviously the runtime will not be added in JBDS, but at least I could verify that the
tgz could be extracted properly and the directory was pre-filled for me as the runtime
root dir.

Topic says it all. IF a downloaded url is a tgz file, it fails to extract it and craps
out.
