so afaik I can see this issue is resolved - not by removing all the tabs but making the
source page default in case VPE is not working and showing an error if users insist on
seeing the visual tab.
That is a good compromise IMO.

Currently the end-user is presented with
Could not open the Visual Page Editor:
Current platform 'cocoa.macosx.x86_64' is not supported.
There is no need to tease the user if the features are not available, hide the tabs.
