One drawback of not having "embedded" help is that the Eclipse Search capability
won't have any "indexes" for the external pages.
But Eclipse DOES have a concept of adding "Search Engine Types" as Search Scopes
which can be configured to perform searches on External sites, Local sites or hosted
"Info Centers" (See Eclipse docs for details).
I've tested this by setting up a "Search Engine Type" targeted to the
following URL Template :
http://www.redhat.com/search?q={expression}&site=redhat_docs&filt... which
performed the same query as if the search was performed on the JBDS doc page.

Teiid Designer is packaged with (12MB of) on-line help. Other projects (jBPM, Drools,
ESB) do not have similar on-line help in JBDS.
This feature request is to add simplified Eclipse Help contribution for each
project/feature. This could take the form of a summary/outline page which can include the
JBoss HTTP site for docs. The help dialog could treat these pages as if they were local.
