Well, eGit 1.1 is the version released w/ Eclipse Indigo SR1 [1, 2] (Eclipse 3.7.1 / Web
Tools 3.3.1 and related stack), so if we plan to move up to 3.7.1 and 3.3.1, we might as
well move everything up to the latest since that's what's in the wild and
that's what new adopters will get.
