Rob Stryker commented on JBDS-3162:
-----------------------------------
The main problem is if you have two of our products the version
number is added at the end and
To be clear, the default name when creating a server through the new server wizard is
taken from the server type name. So the name you see in the new server wizard for each of
the various server types is what we use. Currently, they are things like "JBoss
Enterprise Application Platform 6.1+" or "JBoss Enterprise Application Platform
5.0"
I believe the names should be unified, at the very least, so that the behavior you get
when creating a new server manually or via rt-detection match.
Change "jboss-eap" to "JBoss Enterprise Application
Platform"

Key: JBDS-3162
URL:
https://issues.jboss.org/browse/JBDS-3162
Project: Developer Studio (JBoss Developer Studio)
Issue Type: Feature Request
Components: runtime-detection, server, ui/branding
Reporter: Burr Sutter
When installing JBDS+EAP (same installer), the default name under the Servers tab is
"jboss-eap". This is a request to have that default server name changed to
"JBoss Enterprise Application Platform".
And the default runtime name to "JBoss EAP Runtime".
