Disabling CDI support means unchecking "CDI support" in the project properties > CDI tab. If the Facet is manually removed, the m2e configurator has no way to know it shouldn't enable it on the next project update. The only way to prevent the CDI Facet to be installed is to uncheck it through Window > Preferences > JBoss Tools > JBoss Maven Integration and uncheck "CDI Facet" -- This message is automatically generated by JIRA.
