It shouldn't take too much time to create a new branch using 0.8.0, configure it for
0.8.1, cherry-pick 7 existing commits into it and and release it. (did it took too much
for 0.7.1?).
Yet again: performance issues are important for sure, but fixing the blocker issues has
much higher priority and that's Service Releases were invented for.
