There is a bug in the mavenized seam booking project example. the booking and booking-ejb projects contain unnecessary JBoss Runtime classpath entry. This adds JBoss Runtime libraries to the classpath of the JVM that runs TestNG Suite. JBoss Runtime 4.2.2 isn't compatible with JBoss embedded. That's why the tests fail. I have just fixed this issue in Seam Booking Example - EAR mavenized - Seam 2.1.1.GA. You can remove JBoss Runtime classpath entries from the booking and booking-ejb project or download Seam Booking Example - EAR mavenized - Seam 2.1.1.GA again.
