However, this project clearly exists, because I've tried to launch its camel context
by right clicking and doing run as..
The path cited in the error looks strange. Not sure if thats the issue. It looks like
its replaced the "\" characters in the fs path with "-" dashes.

This issue only occurs on Windows OS. On RHEL6.4 I can not reproduce the issue.
Created new project using camel-webservice archetype. Build it, and try to Run As ->
Local Camel Context. Throws error dialog. I have attached a screenshot and the
diagnostics zip file.
