The problem with deploying a project is caused by a bug in WTP. See
https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=279360
I have added a workaround to Seam Booking Example - EAR mavenized - Seam 2.1.1.GA.
Now you don't need to call Run As>Maven install (mvn install) or Maven>Update
Project Configuration.
