Nick Boldt resolved JBDS-1909.
------------------------------
Assignee: Nick Boldt (was: Robert (Bob) Brodt)
Release Notes Text:
JBDS SOA Tooling site depends on the JBDS Core site being available from which to resolve
deps. Since that site (
http://devstudio.jboss.com/updates/5.0/) is currently empty as
we're pre-GA) you need to MANUALLY add the staging site (or the nightly site) to JBDS
in order to resolve missing dependencies like org.jboss.tools.project.examples or
org.jboss.ide.eclipse.as.wtp.core.
After GA the site will have the content needed and there'll only be the need to add
the SOA site to JBDS to find features to install (eg., BPEL) and resolve all the upstream
deps from
Eclipse.org or
jboss.org.
Resolution: Done
Using these two staging sites, I was able to complete the JBDS BPEL install:
http://www.qa.jboss.com/binaries/RHDS/builds/staging/devstudio-5.0_trunk....
(Core)
http://www.qa.jboss.com/binaries/RHDS/builds/staging/devstudio-5.0_trunk....
(SOA Tooling)
Once M5 rolls out, these bits will be present on the JBDS 5.0 staging update sites.
BPEL Editor cannot complete install

Key: JBDS-1909
URL:
https://issues.jboss.org/browse/JBDS-1909
Project: Developer Studio (JBoss Developer Studio)
Issue Type: Bug
Security Level: Public(Everyone can see)
Components: SOA Platform, updatesite
Affects Versions: 5.0.0.M4
Reporter: Pavol Srna
Assignee: Nick Boldt
Priority: Critical
Fix For: 5.0.0.M5
Attachments: log.txt, screenshot-2.png, screenshot.png
I cannot complete install. See log.txt for more details. This problem has a workaround:
add target platform
(
http://www.qa.jboss.com/binaries/RHDS/updates/jbds-target-platform_3.3.in...) to
the eclipse update sites list. Then the install is successful but another problem is
present. There are 2 BPEL Editors installed (Eclipse and JBoss) see screenshot-2.
