this has been fixed in staging of akamai and now being pushed live but will take a while.
Also your browser might cache so best way it to use:
curl -lv http://devstudio.jboss.com/usage/usage.properties
which will show if the redirect is actually in effect.

-https://devstudio.jboss.com/usage/usage.properties which causes JBDS version <=7.1.1
