That is great news. I don't expect issues in most areas.
One area could though especially be in plugins that depends to run specfic runtimes inside
eclipse, such as hibernate tools if hibernate it self has issues with java 8.
But overall - it should Just Work.

- The IDE running with Java 8 on all OS platforms
- The capabilities in Eclipse Luna for code editing/support
