Rob Stryker commented on JBDS-3162:
-----------------------------------
I mean if I add WildFly 8.2 or EAP 6.3 manually or via runtime
detection, the name will look similar. Not 100 % since we only have server type for EAP
6.1+, but at least similar, right?
Yes, they'll look more similar now. The server types will still have the long name,
but the individual servers that a user creates (after this patch) would use an approved
abbreviation and match more closely with runtime detection.
I've pinged [~pmuir] on the issue.
Change "jboss-eap" to "JBoss Enterprise Application
Platform"

Project: Developer Studio (JBoss Developer Studio)
Issue Type: Feature Request
Components: runtime-detection, server, ui/branding
Reporter: Burr Sutter
Assignee: Rob Stryker
Labels: f2f2014
Fix For: 9.0.0.Alpha2
Attachments: JBDS-3162.suggested.png, JBDS-3162.suggested2.png
When installing JBDS+EAP (same installer), the default name under the Servers tab is
"jboss-eap". This is a request to have that default server name changed to
"JBoss Enterprise Application Platform".
And the default runtime name to "JBoss EAP Runtime".
