Martin Malina commented on JBIDE-15803:
---------------------------------------
Yeah, I'm with Nick on this one. I think we're quite happy with the build number -
it gives us a distinct ID that we can rely on.
I get the point that you cannot reproduce a qualifier twice, but as Nick says, you
couldn't have the date either.
Having the corresponding git hash somewhere (is there a place for it? manifest? I
don't know) wouldn't be bad, but I don't think build qualifier (=part of
filename) is the right place. My $0.02 ;)
Build number in qualifier are against reproducible version qualifier

Key: JBIDE-15803
URL:

Project: Tools (JBoss Tools)
Issue Type: Enhancement
Components: locus
Reporter: Mickael Istria
Assignee: Mickael Istria
Fix For: LATER
We did set up git-based reproducible qualifiers but in the other end, we have the
qualifier always changing because it contains the BUILD_NUMBER.
Those metadata should not be part of the qualifier, but should instead be in a future
index.html, or attached to the Maven artifact.
