From my perspective, allow end-users to create Java 8-based apps and
run the IDE on Java 8.
No quickstarts, samples, no EAP runtime (unless EAP 6.x
determines it wishes to support Java 8), no special IDE functionality for Java 8 new
language capabilities (though we might inherit some from base Eclipse).
And all of this assumes that Eclipse itself will be ready for Java 8 by June 2014.
