Fred Bricon updated JBIDE-8969:
-------------------------------
Attachment: profile-selection2.jpg
Here's how it looks right now.
!profile-selection2.jpg!
I still need to find an icon, to put in the toolbar (I suck at UI), But, it works :-)
Dialog is bound to Ctrl+Shift+P, Profiles can be (de)selected and (de)activated.
I haven't implemented cascading profile selection yet. Problem is profiles declared in
a pom are not inherited in its submodules. Only settings-defined profiles could be
propagated. But then I'd need to come up with a proper UI for sub modules.
Make better UI for Maven Profile selection

Key: JBIDE-8969
URL:
https://issues.jboss.org/browse/JBIDE-8969
Project: Tools (JBoss Tools)
Issue Type: Feature Request
Components: maven
Affects Versions: 3.3.0.M1
Reporter: Max Rydahl Andersen
Assignee: Fred Bricon
Priority: Critical
Fix For: 3.3.0.M3
Attachments: profile-selection2.jpg
Primary usecase for us: Arquillian users have to go through project preferences to toggle
profiles to enable/disable arquillian classpath containers.
Challenges:
When applying to an aggregator pom, should ask user if he wish to add/remove the same
profiles on aggregated modules
UI suggestions:
run/debug style combobox's with dropdown to easy enable/disable often used profiles
IAM style view for enable/disabling
