[~maxandersen], PRs for this issue could be treated as a dead code - it doesn't used anywhere and can't break anything (including API). I have tested this IOS 8 navigation bar using iphone 4 !sample.png|thumbnail! and verify that everything works fine but I didn't apply it for that skin.
