shouldn't these versioning mechanics be done by branches instead
of duplication in the repo ?
Difference here is that we use several versions on both branch and master. It's not a
1-1 coupling and we maintain several versions at the same time as part of the same
release.
And JunoSR0c is what I considered part of the name to know what it
was - 4.2.0.c means what exactly ?
4.2.0.c means it's the 3rd version ("c") of our target-platform based on
4.2.0.
