so if this is going to happen it needs to be scheduled (i've set it for Beta1 for
now).
But i'm failing to see what the problem is - the welcome/intro page we got is shown
*once* and when you click on get started you are ready to go.
for me this is a nice way to show the brand and make people recognize Developer Studio -
we don't try touch too much else in the UI.
Is this considered a bad thing ?

The welcome page for JBDS is really useless. It doesn't provide any value to the
user. Moreover, it looks quite old-fashioned.
In such case, it would be better to remove it and prevent users from seeing it.
