The appropriate place to change the host is in the server editor, NOT the launch config.
The launch config will automatically update itself with data pulled from the server and
runtime objects. A best effort is made to allow additions and changes that are not
critical

When trying to start JBoss AS v 7.0.1.Final. this error occurred:
14:34:27,752 ERROR [stderr] Invalid option '-b'
It's not possible to remove -b option from Server Launch configuration. It can be
deleted within Program Arguments text box of Edit launch configuration properties of
Runtime Server but when dialog is reopened "-b localhost" option is
automatically added to the end of list of Program arguments.
