Alexey Kazakov commented on JBIDE-11682:
----------------------------------------
Alessandro, did you try to clean/build the project before using java search? The initial
indexing still take some time. And this time may be noticeable for big projects. We did
this indexing when you build the project (actually when builder runs JBoss Tools
validation) or when you use any feature (like search) that uses that index.

Given a vanilla install of Eclipse/STS on either Mac/Windows plus the Richfaces plugin, a
Java reference search (cmd/ctrl-shift-g) on a method results in:
- The method references being found and displayed in the Search pane
- The search continuing indefinitely, slowly allocating memory until the heap is
exhausted.
A stack dump of the process is attached.
