DartPeng commented on JBIDE-6134:
---------------------------------
The steps:
1.Create a new smooks config file.
2.Add a "Java mapping" task node and add some java bean models in the graphical
panel.
3.Move the java bean figures to disorder them.
4.Right click in the graphical panel and click the "Auto layout" , then the
animation will be shown.
The issue is that if we use the "auto layout" in Linux (e.g , Fedora 13..) , the
speed of the animation is very slow , although it can work well in windows (Vista , XP..)
However , the animation isn't necessary , so it was disable now.
You can apply the patch and try it again , you will find that the figures change their
position immediately , the animation is disappeared.

Repaint of the Task & Mapping panes of the editor takes far too
long

Project: Tools (JBoss Tools)
Issue Type: Bug
Components: smooks
Reporter: Brian Fitzpatrick
Assignee: DartPeng
Fix For: 3.2.x
Attachments: JBIDE-6134.patch
Original Estimate: 0 minutes
Remaining Estimate: 0 minutes
While at the F2F meetings at EclipseCon 2010, it came up (again) that the
repainting/layout updating of the two graphical areas takes far too long to finish. We
need to find another way to do that or possibly just turn off the repaint on the canvas
prior to redoing the layout and then turning it back on. The animation is not really
necessary.
