Nick Boldt resolved JBIDE-6522.
-------------------------------
Resolution: Rejected
If Eclipse itself advises that you restart after an installation rather than applying
changes, who are we to argue?
I don't think there's a way to suppress that piece of the UI without customizing
Eclipse itself (eg., building a RCP-based product like JBDS), so really it's a matter
of the classic Groucho Marx sketch:
Groucho: Doctor, it hurts when I [install JBT into Eclipse w/o restarting].
Doctor: So, don't [install JBT into Eclipse w/o restarting]!
Install of JBoss Tools without Eclipse restart failes and makes IDE
unstable
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Key: JBIDE-6522
URL:
https://jira.jboss.org/browse/JBIDE-6522
Project: Tools (JBoss Tools)
Issue Type: Bug
Components: common
Affects Versions: 3.2.x
Environment: JDK 1.6, Linux 32, JBT 3.2.0.M1, Eclipse 3.6.0
Reporter: Jiri Peterka
Assignee: Denis Golovin
Ater full installation of JBT there is possibility to apply changes without eclipse
restart.
This lead to many Dispatch errors and ends with StackOverflow Exception.
It freezes all Eclipse and it's even unable exit it correctly.
Is it possible to disable this possibility or to make update without restart more stable?
