Writing files with content

Hi all, I see myself adding files here and there on my projects (JBoss cli commands, shell scripts, SQL scripts...) and I use the touch command in Forge extensively. But how could I add content to these files ? I mostly write Forge scripts, so I would love to do something like that in my script : # Creates a project project-new --named test # Adds a few extra files and directories mkdir src/main/script ; touch src/main/resources/insert.sql ; *// This creates an empty file* *touch* src/main/script/wildfly-show.cli *--content (((( **// This adds content to the file* version # #################### # # System Properties # #################### /core-service=platform-mbean/type=runtime:read-attribute(name=system-properties) # #################### # # Datasource # #################### /subsystem=datasources/data-source=ApplicationBlancheH2DS:read-resource /subsystem=datasources/data-source=ApplicationBlancheH2DS:test-connection-in-pool /subsystem=datasources/data-source=ApplicationBlancheOracleDS:read-resource /subsystem=datasources/data-source=ApplicationBlancheOracleDS:test-connection-in-pool /subsystem=datasources/jdbc-driver=oracle:read-resource *))))* And this command would just create a file with the previous content in it. As you can see, this can be tricky : when to end the content of a file (something similar to <![CDATA[]]>) What do you think ? And what about being able to generate methods ?

Hi all, As you might know by now, I'm creating a Java EE 6 Advanced training course extensively using JBoss Forge. At one point, I create a set of EJBs.... and I need to create a few methods on each one. I was wondering if it would make sense to have JBoss Forge generating methods ? Until now, Forge creates classes (e.g. jpa-new-entity, cdi-new-bean, java-new-class), annotations (cdi-new-qualifier, constraint-new-annotation...), attributes (jpa-new-field, java-new-field...) but nowhere Forge creates methods. This could make sense in most of the artifacts (EJBs, CDI bean, Java, but also JPA). Do you think it would be good to have such functionnality ? Advanced Java EE 6 training... with JBoss Forge

Hi Guys, I'm holidays skiing, and the fresh air (and bad internet connection) is giving me some ideas. I have a 3 days training course on Java EE 6... and now I'm working on a *new* one : a 3 days on *Advanced Java EE 6*. On the slops I was thinking of using Forge to do it. The idea is to kicki off the first training day by introducing Forge to my students, and then, use it as much as I can during the 3 days. I was having a look at what I would need to make this happen. So I've listed the JIRAs I would *really* need to make it happen, and the ones that would be *nice* to have: *Really missing :* - run command (https://issues.jboss.org/browse/FORGE-1432) - Copy/paste (https://issues.jboss.org/browse/FORGE-1449) - CDI commands (https://issues.jboss.org/browse/FORGE-1493) - Arquillian add-on (couldn't find the JIRA) - Being able to create new JSF pages and Beans ( https://issues.jboss.org/browse/FORGE-1593) *Nice to have* - Template JSF (https://issues.jboss.org/browse/FORGE-1580) - Bootstrap 3 (https://issues.jboss.org/browse/FORGE-1542) - Webjars (https://issues.jboss.org/browse/FORGE-1067) but this one is still unsure on the Forge team side About the *really missing* ones, do you think that would be doable in the coming releases ? I know that Run, Copy/Paste, CDI and Arquillian are on the pipeline, but the JSF ones are new. Forge 2.0 and Arquillian

Hi, I just wonder how to set up project to use arquillian as it was possible in Forge 1.x forge install-plugin arquillian arquillian setup --containerType MANAGED --containerName JBOSS_AS_MANAGED_7.X Is there some way (or will be)? Forge error when running admin_layer.fsh to setup TicketMonster
