It is worth noting this system of new features and minor updates being
allowed
is not *really* news.
This approach been allowed for the last 2-3 years.
The *new* part is that it is now formalised and made explicit
that completely new projects (like BuildShip) can join the release
train.
Side effect of this is we'll need to be even more proactive to get
updated
or at least verify compatibility. Unless we trust every eclipse project
to
stay 100% source and binary API compatible now that it is official they
are allowed to add features.
Hint: I don't trust it to be - but i'm also fine we ensure we can update
more
aggressively ;)
