Could someone please update the description with the *exact* plugin/feature that is causing the problem ? (i.e. their *id*'s and version). That would be great - thanks!

[JBoss JIRA] (JBIDE-21105) Deprecate BIRT
by Max Rydahl Andersen (JIRA)
Max Rydahl Andersen commented on JBIDE-21105:
---------------------------------------------
To be clear, It is the Birt report dependencies we want to drop. Mainly because noone on our side is actively maintaining the Birt hibernate integration AND that Birt development seemed to have grinded to a halt after actuate have been aquired.
To note. I would like to see mongodb DTP connector be available further down for usage in JBoss Tools *without* requiring Teiid but that can come back later on. For now yes, lets please just drop any dependency of Birt reporting engine in our next major version.

Max Rydahl Andersen commented on JBDS-3600:
-------------------------------------------
[~nickboldt] as documented on JBDS-3566 I don't grok what you are trying to do here. aeri is already configured out of the box in jboss.tools usage.
The pros/cons of this was discussed in http://lists.jboss.org/pipermail/jbosstools-dev/2016-February/010939.html and I've just added a follow up on there to document the decision made on it back then.
[~marcel.bruch] I believe this is related to my request on having a way to override jboss tools error reporter used purely in community with another one when it is included in devstudio product.

[JBoss JIRA] (JBDS-3566) include AERI in JBDS 9.1
by Max Rydahl Andersen (JIRA)
Max Rydahl Andersen commented on JBDS-3566:
-------------------------------------------
[~nickboldt] why are you creating your custom devstudio.redhat.com error discovery ? the discovery is currently shared between jboss.org and devstudio.com by the extension setup in jboss.org usage plugin because there is no other way yet to provide one setup in jbosstools and one in devstudio without either causing conflicts or that error tracking would only be enabled in a fraction of places.
For me it seem it works just as expected. There is nothing more to do here besides working with Marcel to see if there can be a way to override an existing reporter. But for 9.1 that is not happening.
[~marcel.bruch] our "wiki" is our devdoc at https://github.com/jbosstools/jbosstools-devdoc/tree/master/api/usage you can open a pull-request there to provide info/docs.

[JBoss JIRA] (JBIDE-21727) add OpenShift server adapter to downloadable WTP server adapters
by Max Rydahl Andersen (JIRA)
Max Rydahl Andersen commented on JBIDE-21727:
---------------------------------------------
And to answer [~adietish] question here (did offline, but not recorded here): "what exactly in UI is broken, can you be more precise so that I can determine what needs to be done/fixed?"
It seems broken in the sense I can't start from the new server wizard and actually complete a setup of a project in openshift. It requires me to already have a connection with a project with an application etc.
This might be what we can do - but then maybe at least add to the UI guidance enough so the user can know what he needs to do.

> We have JBoss server adapters available in Eclise new Server wizard; would be great if we could put OpenShift in there too.
> Anything preventing us from doing so ?
> Is there a workflow from New server that helps users to create openshift connection etc. ?

[JBoss JIRA] (JBIDE-21858) Opening the OpenShift 3 server adapter wizard is verrrry slow
by Viacheslav Kabanovich (JIRA)
Viacheslav Kabanovich commented on JBIDE-21858:
-----------------------------------------------
ServerAdapterHandler.getOpenShiftServer when action is started from IRoute loads services from restclient IProject.
ServerSettingsWizardPage in constructor called when wizard is started through ServerAdapterHandler loads resources (routes and build configs) from restclient IProject.
Since the action is started from Openshift Explorer, all these resources are already loaded with model that includes Connection, OpenShiftProjectUIModel, DeploymentResourceMapper, Deployment; deployment returns collections of IResourceUIModel by kind, model objects have reference to parent. Needed objects should be obtained by navigating this model starting from the object received in the selection.
