I've committed this fix for JBoss 5 and below... however, it still does not seem to
work at all for JBoss 6.

Steps to reproduce:
1) create empty workspace on a path containing space character
2) create web project
3) try to deploy on a server with workspace metadata deployment
No error logged, but nothing happens.
