this issue should be in JBDS jira and not JBIDE. Is there any way for the installer to
warn or block when people use spaces in their JBDS install directory?
Snjezana: the runtime plugin / installer should only be setting DEPLOY_DIRECTORY_TYPE to
"server" for jboss 5.0. JBossAS 5.1 or better should have it set to metadata.
I'll try to isolate whether the problem is in tooling or JBoss-AS's deployment
scanner.

Steps to reproduce:
1) create empty workspace on a path containing space character
2) create web project
3) try to deploy on a server with workspace metadata deployment
No error logged, but nothing happens.
