[Design of JBoss Web Services] - Re: When will W3CEndpointReference instance construction be

by jhalliday

Hi Thomas This looks like it could be a blocker for putting transactions onto the JBossWS native stack, which in turn makes it a blocker for the transactions release we are going to use in AS 5.0 GA In short, I'd appreciate it if your team could schedule this in to your roadmap sooner rather than later. Do you anticipate it will require significant effort or is it unscheduled just due to lack of demand? Hi Darran, There are some commits to the stale branch native-2.0. Have these been merged to trunk? Can I delete that branch? cheers -thomas [tdiesler@tddell branches]$ svn log --limit 10 https://svn.jboss.org/repos/jbossws/stack/native/branches/native-2.0 ------------------------------------------------------------------------ r4567 | darran.lofthouse(a)jboss.com | 2007-09-14 18:41:42 +0200 (Fri, 14 Sep 2007) | 1 line [JBWS-1810] In wstools use String.replace(char,char) instead of String.replace(CharSequence,CharSequence). ------------------------------------------------------------------------ r4566 | darran.lofthouse(a)jboss.com | 2007-09-14 18:40:59 +0200 (Fri, 14 Sep 2007) | 1 line [JBWS-1810] In wstools use String.replace(char,char) instead of String.replace(CharSequence,CharSequence). ------------------------------------------------------------------------ r4544 | darran.lofthouse(a)jboss.com | 2007-09-11 14:10:49 +0200 (Tue, 11 Sep 2007) | 1 line [JBWS-1801] WSDL To Java - When an array if returned from a method on the SEI it is incorrectly ommitted from the generated JAX-RPC mapping. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ r4543 | darran.lofthouse(a)jboss.com | 2007-09-11 14:08:30 +0200 (Tue, 11 Sep 2007) | 1 line [JBWS-1801] WSDL To Java - When an array if returned from a method on the SEI it is incorrectly ommitted from the generated JAX-RPC mapping. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ r4492 | darran.lofthouse(a)jboss.com | 2007-08-23 16:09:15 +0200 (Thu, 23 Aug 2007) | 1 line [JBWS-1792] init-param for handler defined in jaxrpc-config not processed. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ r4490 | darran.lofthouse(a)jboss.com | 2007-08-23 15:33:16 +0200 (Thu, 23 Aug 2007) | 1 line [JBWS-1792] init-param for handler defined in jaxrpc-config not processed. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ r4429 | thomas.diesler(a)jboss.com | 2007-08-17 20:05:13 +0200 (Fri, 17 Aug 2007) | 1 line update mergeinfo.txt -- xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Thomas Diesler Web Service Lead JBoss, a division of Red Hat xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

[Design of JBoss Web Services] - When will W3CEndpointReference instance construction be avai

by adinn

The current implementations of createW3CEndpointReference() etc in javax.xml.ws.spi.Provider all throw a NotImplementedException. is there a target date/release for implementation of W3CEndpointreference construction? [Design of JBoss Web Services] - Re: BASIC auth and WS-Security

by jason.greene＠jboss.com

Thats a bug then, it should not be sent. IIRC the way I had originally written it, the SOAP Call implementation dropped any auth type it did not understand, which is why i introduced AUTH_TYPE_WSSE. [Design of JBoss Web Services] - BASIC auth and WS-Security

by thomas.diesler＠jboss.com

It seems that we use the standard jaxrpc/jaxws properties as WSSE username token | if (opConfig.getUsername() != null) | { | Object user = ctx.get(Stub.USERNAME_PROPERTY); | Object pass = ctx.get(Stub.PASSWORD_PROPERTY); | | if (user == null && pass == null) | { | user = ctx.get(BindingProvider.USERNAME_PROPERTY); | pass = ctx.get(BindingProvider.PASSWORD_PROPERTY); | } | | if (user != null && pass != null) | { | operations.add(new OperationDescription<EncodingOperation>(SendUsernameOperation.class, null, user.toString(), pass.toString(), null)); | ctx.put(StubExt.PROPERTY_AUTH_TYPE, StubExt.PROPERTY_AUTH_TYPE_WSSE); | } | } | The side effect is that the wsse username token will always be sent via BASIC auth. Is this by design? I thought the wsse username token is independent of transport security.
