[JBoss JIRA] (RF-12229) Ajax partial response extension tag is not written when render="@all"
by Lukáš Fryč (JIRA)
Lukáš Fryč commented on RF-12229:
---------------------------------
For this issue, we will only {{render=@all}} correctly.
It's recommended to use RichFaces ajax capabilities,
but we will make sure to improve a interoperaribility with addressing RF-12536,
which will achieve all AJAX updates bearing RichFaces AJAX extensions (including {{f:ajax}}).

[JBoss JIRA] (RF-12608) pickList without collectionType results in failure to lazily load
by Ken H (JIRA)

Ken H commented on RF-12608:

That looks like the same trace. I apologize for not putting a trace into my description, that would have obviously been helpful.
The exception you are seeing is most immediately caused by a closed EntityManager. If you change it to an extended persistence context, the behavior should align with my description.

> Changes to the selectManyHelper class in 4.2.3+ causes a lazy loading exception in hibernate when the backing collection is persistent and is not eagerly loaded.
> The problem seems to be that fetching the collection in SelectManyHelper.getConvertedValue bypasses the PersistentSet getter that would normally issue the lazy load request.
> Defining the collectionType (e.g. java.util.ArrayList) bypasses this issue.
> Ideally this method would detect Hibernate proxy collections and handle them appropriately. However, I realize that may cause a dependency so perhaps it would be enough to document this option and situation in the component reference.

[JBoss JIRA] (RF-12442) RF ajax rendering of content which contains another form (a4j:commandLink/Button doesn’t reacts at first click)
by Lukáš Fryč (JIRA)
Lukáš Fryč commented on RF-12442:
---------------------------------
The problem is RichFaces evaluates {{@render}} attribute at a server and thus we are not provided with its value on a client.
I will add {{<render>}} as RichFaces extension for partial view response (side by side to {{<complete>}} and {{<beforedomupdate>}} extensions).
This element will include space separated list of clientIds as evaluated on a server. ({{PartialViewContext#getRenderIds()}})

> RF ajax rendering on another form doesn't work with a4j:commandButton/commandLink it removes javax.faces.ViewState input of the second form.
> This results in a ghost click the first time I try to submit the second form after having submitted the first one.
> https://community.jboss.org/thread/204724 contains a sample project (see attached file in forum).
> Note : multiple form render works fine when using h:commandButton/commandLink with f:ajax.
