Sarissa.getDomDocument() does not work with IE6 if ActiveX is disabled.
There is a simple patch for this case, reported to sarissa tracker:

However, nobody in Sarissa project takes care for submitted patches since 2005.
It is easier to patch rg\ajax4jsf\javascript\scripts\AJAX.js independently.
