I have added the mentioned Attribute to the Component. Now every user can decide, whether
he wants to enable this function or not by defining enabledItemTitles=true. The default
behaviour is set to false. Check the commit in the pull request. if you agree with this, i
will also add it to the version 5.

It would be really good if rich:select had a title Attribute for every item listed. In
the delivered HTML-Code every Item is in a DIV-Tag, so it should not be too hard to add
this functionality.
