Ilya Shaikovsky resolved RF-3957.
---------------------------------
Resolution: Rejected
onsomeevent is client side handlers.. It seems not clear solution to fire it on rendering
if errors came from server side.
In order to open modal panel or perform some other client side activity after the
erroneous request you could use constructions analogous to next.
<rich:modalPanel showWhenRendered="#{not
facesContext.maximumSeverity==null}">
<rich:messages>
</rich:modalPanel>
this code creates a modal which will be pop up after some validation errors.
rich:message JS-Function onError

Key: RF-3957
URL:
https://jira.jboss.org/jira/browse/RF-3957
Project: RichFaces
Issue Type: Feature Request
Reporter: Achim Grimm
Assignee: Ilya Shaikovsky
Fix For: Future
It would be nice if the rich:message tag had a attribute with a JS-Function. The
JS-Function is called if a validation-error occured.
For Example, this would be nice to pop up the modal panel that is containing the
input-field.
