The attached sample uses Spring and its {{@Component}} annotation. I'm not sure
whether this is an issue or not.

If both beans in your sample don't work, then I suggest to try the same case with JSF
beans (@RequestScoped @ManagedBean) and see whether it works.

A bean parameter in the autocomplete method is not resolved if the rich:autocomplete is
part of a ui:include.
