If anything is wrong I redirect the current (Ajax) request to another page which can be outside of my application. In this szenario Javascript errors occur in function A4J.AJAX.replacePage All access to LOG has to be checked after following line: window.document.write(req.getResponseText()); Logging debug output should not result in javascript errors. Therefore the existence of LOG has to be checked after the response is inserted into the current document.
