Sorting files by names after uploading might not be an option in some cases where the application might not know ahead of time whether the names are numeric/alphanumeric. If richfaces ends up implementing sorting, it would also be wiser to implement sorting by name/type/size/starts with etc to make the component more useful for all types of applications/scenarios.
