The attached example works also with version 4.2 if I use the rendered-attributes instead of c-if-tags. But this is not the problem here and the rendered attribute did not require any fixes. The attached sample war contains just a few lines of code with a c-if tag in one xhtml file. This was working with richfaces 3.3.3 and is not working anymore with richfaces 4, which is a regression from my pov.
