-----------------------------------------------------------
It was done in scope of {{4.3.0}} and thus you should see same behavior in later releases as {{4.3.2}}.

[JBoss JIRA] (RF-13061) r:fileUpload stops working: "Request prolog cannot be read"
by Lukáš Fryč (JIRA)
[ https://issues.jboss.org/browse/RF-13061?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.s... ]
Lukáš Fryč commented on RF-13061:
---------------------------------
Hey Juergen, we have discussed this topic on last meeting as can be seen in [minutes|http://transcripts.jboss.org/meeting/irc.freenode.org/richfaces/2...]:
{code}
14:04:23 <bleathem> #topic Wildfly testing
14:05:06 <bleathem> #info one of our community memebers came up with a good idea: he set up Wildfly with JSF 2.1, and has noticed some issue when running a RichFaces app
14:05:45 <lfryc> hmm, is it really good idea since WF comes by default with JSF 2.2?
14:05:47 <bleathem> #info I propose we run our full test suite like this, to uncover any Underto integration issues, against a version of JSF with which we are known to work well
14:06:10 <ppitonak> bleathem: doesn't make sense to me
14:06:13 <lfryc> do you think people will be encouraged to downgrade?
14:06:28 <bleathem> We've already gone through some issues that turned out to be caused by undertow, that we thought were caused by JSF 2.2
14:06:37 <ppitonak> bleathem: do we want to support *all* versions of Mojarra on WildFly?
14:06:40 <bleathem> I just want to see what fails
14:06:49 <lfryc> we can test against JSF 2.2 then
14:06:58 <lfryc> that's the target for JavaEE 7 for us
14:07:27 <lfryc> there are other containers which bundles Mojarra 2.1
14:07:39 <ppitonak> lfryc: +1
14:07:58 <lfryc> I have just concerns that it will reveal issues we don't have to address
14:08:08 <lfryc> if Juergenn wants to go that way, he certainly can :-)
14:08:18 <lfryc> I think it's enough to test against Alpha software ;-)
14:08:31 <bleathem> So we know we run well against Mojarra 2.1.19 for instance. If we test against Wildfly with Mojarra 2.1.19 and a test fails, we know it's caused by undertow. If we test against Wildfly with JSF 2.2 and a test fails, we don't know the cause. Is it JSF 2.2? Or is it Undertow?
14:09:02 <ppitonak> bleathem: so it makes sense to setup Mojarra 2.2 with Tomcat
14:09:11 <bleathem> +1
14:09:12 <ppitonak> bleathem: not Mojarra 2.1 with WildFly
14:09:23 <lfryc> I agree with ppitonak here
14:09:38 <ppitonak> bleathem: testing WildFly is by-product of our work :)
14:09:39 <lfryc> integration with Tomcat reveals us Mojarra/MyFaces issues
14:09:44 <bleathem> Ok, I don't feel strongly enough about it to push for it, it was just an idea.
14:10:09 <bleathem> #info rather than test Wildfly with JSF 2.1, we can test tomcat with JSF 2.2
{code}
Just a note: Alpha1 wasn't upgraded to JSF 2.2 yet and we haven't fine-tuned {{Alpha1}} against WildFly {{Alpha1}} ([clarified here|https://community.jboss.org/message/823882#823882]).
We will address compatibility with JSF 2.2 and WildFly in Alpha2 (and later) releases.
I would definitely encourage you to give it a try, however remember that both, RichFaces 5 on JSF 2.2, and WildFly itself (especially with multi-jsf feature) are in Alpha stages. :-)

The fix will be backported to RF 4.3.x if it makes sense to do so. That will be determined at the time the fix is implemented.

[JBoss JIRA] (RF-12916) a4j:push doesn't work in cluster and doesn't have an asynchronous way to notify all Topics (e.g. JMS)
by Luan Cestari (JIRA)
[ https://issues.jboss.org/browse/RF-12916?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.s... ]
Luan Cestari commented on RF-12916:
-----------------------------------
Hi Lukáš,
I created a project (already attached) to exemplify the scenario. Let me first say the configuration of the enviroment. I'm using EAP 6.1.0 (the customer tested something similar with 6.0.0). Below some commands and configurations:
#start command:
/usr/local/EAP-6.1.0/jboss-eap-6.1/bin/domain.sh -b 10.96.36.155 -Djboss.bind.address.management=10.96.36.155 -Djboss.bind.address.unsecure=10.96.36.155
domain.xml modifications:
<subsystem xmlns="urn:jboss:domain:messaging:1.3">
<hornetq-server>
<clustered>true</clustered>
<persistence-enabled>true</persistence-enabled>
<cluster-user>admin</cluster-user>
<cluster-password>admin1</cluster-password>
<journal-type>NIO</journal-type>
<journal-min-files>2</journal-min-files>
....
host.xml modifications:
<servers>
<server name="server1" group="ha_profile" auto-start="true">
<socket-bindings socket-binding-group="full-ha-sockets" port-offset="0"/>
</server>
<server name="server2" group="ha_profile" auto-start="true">
<socket-bindings socket-binding-group="full-ha-sockets" port-offset="100"/>
</server>
</servers>
...
#the application uses maven, so a simple mvn clean install will generate the WAR in the target folder
#after the deploy of the application the following URLs will be available (to test it, I would recommend using different browsers to simulate different concurrent users):
http://10.96.36.155:8180/jmswithrichfaces/MDBServlet
http://10.96.36.155:8180/jmswithrichfaces/ -> Open in two tabs
http://10.96.36.155:8080/jmswithrichfaces/MDBServlet
http://10.96.36.155:8080/jmswithrichfaces/ -> Open in two tabs
Expected:
A push made by the application would be propagated to all browser/users even in different servers due it is a distributed WAR. In a less technical overview, the server should communicate to all the clients browser.
Overview of the project:
MDBServlet send a JMS message that can will be consumed and will use the Richfaces's push API to call all the web clients connected (http://10.96.36.155:8180/jmswithrichfaces/). This would update the date of everyone.
Let me know if you need any help =)
Regards,
Luan

> The customer is using JBoss in cluster and he have a Richfaces 4. The web client is using websocket using Richfaces/Atmosphere. The problem is that the customer have heavy asynchronous process that need to notify all websockets from all users (using a JMS, for example)
