1. Could you also attach *.xhtml's which you included in tabPanel.
2. Put also on your page <rich:messages/> component to see if any FacesErrors
errors occurred.

In case of rich:tabPanel and switchtype="ajax" when we click on other tab
sometimes it gets rendered and sometimes the new tab is not rendered.
Although every time request hits server.
Same is the case with a4j:commandButton
It was working perfectly fine in 3.0.2 and the problem started with new release.
