The [org.richfaces.VersionBean|https://github.com/richfaces/core/blob/develop/...] class calls Class.getProtectedDomain() but doesn't catch the SecurityException. Basically, the VersionBean needs to be able to detect the version of RichFaces even when the SecurityException is thrown.
