Lukas reported:
* removing the syntax highlighting did not resolve the button click problem (but the error
did go away).
* the ViewState is not returned on the initial request for the page. It is however
returned on the initial request for desktop browsers.
* reported this works fine on his android 4 device, but not on his iPad device.
I can confirm it does not work on my Android 2.3 device.
We should try running the older working showcase with the latest RichFaces dependencies,
to see if the breakage was introduced in changes to the framework, or in changes to the
showcase itself.

This issue affects the last snapshot (see attachments). Buttons in samples for the
following components don't respond on the first click:
- a4j:commandButton
- a4j:commandLink
- a4j:poll
- a4j:log
- rich:dataScroller
...
It's working correctly using released version of Showcase 4.2.1.CR1.
There is JS error shown in Safari on iPhone (see attachments). It can relates to this
issue.
