Go to the test application (jsp or facelets) 2. Select calendar control 3. Select any pattern with "yyyy", set popup made = true 4. Set date to the "12/12/997" (any date before XI century) 5. Then expand calendar control to edit entered value Result: selected date is cleared, calendar displays current date instead of selected.
