The same behaviour has ui:repeat for @begin attribute.
However, h:dataTable with @rows={-1,-2,...} renders all elements of model.

When you set a4j:repeat attribute rows to value -1, no row is rendered.
But when you set rows to -2, the exception is thrown (see attached file
a4jrepeat-rows-minus-two.html).
