Brian Leathem commented on RF-12456:
------------------------------------
I agree in principle - it's just a matter of digging in to see what handles we have to
sort the validators on the client side.
CSV before Ajax
---------------
Key: RF-12456
URL:
https://issues.jboss.org/browse/RF-12456
Project: RichFaces
Issue Type: Enhancement
Security Level: Public(Everyone can see)
Components: component-validators
Affects Versions: 4.2.2.Final
Reporter: Bernard Labno
Priority: Minor
Fix For: 4-Tracking
If I have input bound to attribute that is annotated with @NotNull @Email then it should
have 2 validations: not empty value, email.
There is client side validator for @NotNull but there is none for @Email and the latter
requires Ajax fallback,
however I'd expect that before there is any Ajax fallback then all client side
validations are performed. It makes no sens to do ajax fallback for validation @Email if
validation @NotNull is not met.
